Hi ppl.

After long time requests, I’ve decided to implement a tray. See it, try it (svn only) – quiet buggy for now.

Screenshots – what’s up with AnticoDeluxe

July 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Some screentshots showing AnticoDeluxe current development status.

AnticoDeluxe

screen 1 – “About this computer dialog”. There is a Dock and also a topbar with useful widgets – keyboard switcher, volume control, show desktop and a clock.

SystemPreferences.app

screen2 – SystemPreferences.app  with Bobcat Qt4 theme. Bobcat is a work in progress, for now only menubar, menus and toolbar widgets are managed. There are some visual improvements, coming from updated Amelib – GradientButton and HelpButton – see at the bottom of the window. Take a look to the window titlebar and how Bobcat integrates to it;

Runner

screen3 – Runner.  Runner should become a file manager for AnticoDeluxe DE. Notice the Bobcat theme again, and toolbar buttons – RectButton from Amelib. The icons are already bundled into AmeLib as AmeSystemIcon class.

Qt based desktop, featuring AnticoDeluxe

January 15, 2009 Leave a comment

A friend of mine told me about his idea for making a whole Qt based desktop with many Qt applications.

The idea is described in his page here : http://code.google.com/p/semen/wiki/QtDesktop. What is very good, and you may notice it, he aims to use AnticoDeluxe as Desktop Environment. Of course, not all (even none) of the applications match the overal look & feel of AnticoDeluxe, but they can be patched a little and become very integrated into AnticoDeluxe.

I’ve just opened a new page for open discussion about AnticoDeluxe development.

The page is here. Feel free to post any comments about AnticoDeluxe. Hope this will help me for improving AnticoDeluxe and to know what the people think about it.

Antico Deluxe project is looking for an artist

January 9, 2009 Leave a comment

This is a quick mockup for a new Qt4 based lightweight theme engine, specialy designed for Antico Deluxe.

screenshot-12

The image is not well crafted, some widgets are in their original background. Even that, the image shows my idea and vision for good looking user interface in philosophy of Antico – i.e. being as close as possible to the user interface os MacOSX, which is original work from APPLE INC.

I asked the great Bespin theme/engine author, and he told me this is too complicated and he dont want to write this ….. again. Anyway – the mockup is designed as a Bespin modification.

So, I’m looking for an artist and Qt4 programmer, who can code and maintain this visual style from within the Antico Deluxe source tree.

The style engine have to be very fast, small in size and with no configurable options at runtime.

Candidates may contact me at ludmiloff <   at  > gmail __dot__ you know what ends.

Antico Deluxe downloaded 100 times

January 8, 2009 Leave a comment

A hundredth downloads of Antico Deluxe. I never believed the project might become so popular for so short time – 2 weeks.  Even when I writing this, it still downloaded more and more…

But what will be the future for Antico – no one knows. This is a single man project for now. The development is slow, there are many bugs and more than a hundred features for I still have no one line of code….

Never mind… such a success need to continue, as I will continue in coding next beta2 release – this time with another SystemPrferences.app module finished and …. some fixed bugs.
